Hip-Hop star Nicki Minaj is slated to ink a deal this week, that will create a new line of fashion, accessories and housewares for a yet-to-be named retailer. According to reports, Nicki Minaj could announce the deal as early as this week, with a massive retailer such as a K-mart, Wal-Mart or Target.
While details are limited, the rapper will end up with her own line of clothing, thanks to a deal negotiated by industry veteran Charles Koppelman. Koppelman, who has headed up EMI, Steve Madden and Martha Stewart Living, helped negotiate a deal for Nicki, as well as Maroon 5′s Adam Levine. Nicki, who is currently a judge on “American Idol,” already has a presence in the fashion world, thanks to deals with M.A.C, Macy’s, adidas and Pepsi.
